Bits and pieces

Got to spend some time at work last week learning more about paints and painting w/ a spray gun. I'm working on picking out a spray booth for work, so it was good to get a little practice.

Saturday, I did a little shopping including picking up a new light for my dining room table at Ikea. Photos of my place now that it's furnished.

Sunday, I was going to go into the city for a CMU Design Alumni picnic, but the bus never showed up. So, I went for a hike at in the Norvin Green State Forest. In the first half mile, I came across a bear scampering down a tree and running off into the woods. It was so cool! It was a really cool hike and required me to pay way more attention to trail markings than I'm used to.

Last night, alazrael setup a trip to see the Saints/Giants games and it was awesome (see his post).

While I did get a raise last week (YAY!), my finances are in the crapper with 5 weddings, 2 trips home, a trip to the dentist including several fillings, and expected car repairs. On top of that, my futon frame broke this weekend, am hoping to make a trip to Kiev to visit a friend in the spring and will need to buy a new car in the next 3 - 6 months. My budget suggests I'll have things in order by the end of the year, but what a pain.
